About Canevin and Lowe Halls

Canevin and Lowe Halls connect, making two large wings for student housing. Both halls are generally used to house sophomores, juniors and seniors. All rooms in both Canevin and Lowe Hall are single occupancy. These halls also connect to Maura Hall and the Administration Building on main campus.

  • Every room is single occupancy.
  • Furniture in each room includes a desk and chair, bed and mattress, dresser and shelving.
  • Bed and desk are freestanding and moveable.

  • Building type: Traditional residence hall.
  • Community spaces: Kitchen on each floor.
  • Bathroom style: Community bathrooms located on each floor.
  • Laundry facilities: Located on the lower level near the Esports area.
  • Security: Student ID Card needed to access.

Did You Know?

Lowe Hall is named after Mother Aloysia Lowe, the foundress who bought the 200 acres that would come to be known as Seton Hill. Canevin Hall is named for John Francis Regis Canevin, who served as Bishop of Pittsburgh from 1903-1921. Bishop Canevin encouraged and supported the Sisters in their pursuit of a charter for Seton Hill College. Learn more Seton Hill history here.
