Occupational Therapy Early Decision
Early Decision Application
APPLY FOR EARLY DECISION HERE
Who should use the Early Decision Application?
First-year, sophomore, and junior undergraduate college students interested in pursuing the Seton Hill University Occupational Therapy Doctorate should submit an Early Decision Application. Graduates who are beginning to gather prerequisite coursework should also submit an Early Decision application with an anticipated prerequisites completion date.
Purpose
The purpose of the Early Decision application is to provide information and/or assurances to applicants. The Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) admissions committee will review the applicant’s submission and offer feedback on strengthening the application or offer an early decision of anticipated admission to the OTD program.
What is Early Decision?
Early Decision indicates that the admissions committee sees great potential in the applicant and will reserve a space in the commensurate cohort for the applicant. The applicant will be able to matriculate pending successful completion of all prerequisite courses, achievement of a bachelor’s degree, and maintenance of their GPA.
What if I do not/did not submit an Early Decision Application?
Senior undergraduate students and graduates who are close to completing or have completed their prerequisite coursework may apply to the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program using the Occupational Therapy Centralized Application System (OTCAS). It is not necessary to have previously submitted an Early Decision application.
If I have positive feedback from my Early Decision application, do I still need to apply via OTCAS?
Yes, all students wishing to enter the OTD program must submit an OTCAS application. The OTCAS application has a few more components, including 3 letters of recommendation, an additional personal statement, and a more comprehensive view of your coursework.
