Readmission and Re-Enrollment

Returning to Seton Hill University

Welcome Back!

Whether you've been away for a short time or a bit longer, Seton Hill welcomes you back. This includes students who:Find Your Forward

  • Took time away for personal, family, or work reasons.
  • Pursued other educational opportunities.
  • Took a medical or academic leave.
  • Needed a break before finishing their degree.
  • Have been out of attendance for more than one year or officially withdrew from the university.

Your next steps depend on how long you've been away, and whether or not you officially withdrew from Seton Hill.

If you've: 

  • Been away from Seton Hill for less than one calendar year AND
  • Not officially withdrawn from the University.

You need to re-enroll.

 If you've: 

  • Been away for more than one calendar year OR
  • Officially withdrew from the university.

You need to be readmitted.

Re-Enrollment

To qualify for re-enrollment, you must have previously attended Seton Hill University and have:

  • Been away from Seton Hill for less than one calendar year AND
  • Not officially withdrawn from the University.

Apply for Re-enrollment

1. Complete the Re-Enrollment Form

Fill out this quick form so we can reactivate your student record. 

2. Submit Updated Information

If you’ve attended another college or university since leaving Seton Hill, please send official transcripts from those schools.

3. Check Your Account

We want your return to Seton Hill to be seamless! Please ensure that any previous financial or academic holds are resolved before you register for classes. Our Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and Registrar’s Office teams are here to help - reach them at (724) 830-1010 or HelpFinReg@setonhill.edu.

4. Connect with Your Advisor

Once your application is approved, an academic advisor will help you review your degree progress and plan your next steps.

5. Register for Courses

After meeting with your advisor, log in to GriffinGate to register for your classes. Your advisor can help if you have questions or need to adjust your schedule.

Readmission

To qualify for readmission, you must have previously attended Seton Hill University and have:

  • Been away for more than one calendar year OR
  • Officially withdrew from the university.
To be readmitted, you must submit a new application.

Important Notes

  • If you were academically dismissed, additional documentation may be required for reinstatement.
  • Returning students are encouraged to apply as early as possible to ensure course and housing availability.
  • Any student who has a financial or an academic hold on their account must have the hold(s) cleared prior to being officially re-enrolled.
  • Any student who previously attended Seton Hill, has been away for more than one year or officially withdrew, must submit a new application.
