The Dance Program at Seton Hill

Moving Into Something Great
What You Can Expect as a Dance Major or Minor at Seton Hill
The Seton Hill Dance Program creates versatile and well-rounded artists grounded in the liberal arts. All dancers, regardless of the degree or concentration, complete the same core dance curriculum, which explores courses in:
- Dance technique
- Cultural dance forms
- Dance improvisation
- Dance history
- Teaching of dance
- Dancer health and wellness
Following the dance program’s learning objectives, students investigate a wide range of dance topics in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our knowledgeable faculty provide individual advising sessions each semester to help students cultivate and express their unique artistic voices. Students also have the opportunity to enrich their education through performances, internships, guest artist visits, and study away and study abroad experiences.
