Global Seal of Biliteracy
Prepare for an International Microcredential at Seton Hill
A Language Certification with Global Standards
The Global Seal of Biliteracy is an internationally-recognized microcredential that validates language proficiency in more than 100 languages. At Seton Hill, you can prepare to earn this microcredential while completing your undergraduate degree. While the Global Seal of Biliteracy is popular with language students, it is also a powerful addition to learning in many other majors.
You may also be eligible to enroll in an advanced language course right away, or earn undergraduate credits for fluency, if you:
- Enter Seton Hill with a U.S. State Seal of Biliteracy.
- Identify as a heritage or native speaker.
- Have significant prior language experience.
For students seeking the Global Seal who do not have a State Seal, Seton Hill’s Modern Language Program will use the Avant STAMP (STAndards-based Measurement of Proficiency), to verify language levels.
