According to U.S. News and World Report, the number of jobs in cybersecurity will grow at a rate of 36.5% through 2022, which is much higher than the average. When it comes to pay, the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that the lowest 10% of positions in the field earned $50,300 annually, while the highest 10% - positions requiring a bachelor's degree - earned more than $140,460. This nationwide trend holds true in the Pittsburgh market, with cybersecurity job postings growing rapidly at three times the rate of IT jobs overall since 2010.
