Biology - Education (7-12 Teaching Certification)
Prepare to Become a Biology Teacher
At Seton Hill, you have three options for preparing to earn teaching certification in 7-12 Biology:
- You can earn a bachelor's degree as an undergraduate student while also fulfilling all of the academic requirements for teaching certification.
- You can add teaching certification preparation courses to a bachelor's degree you've already earned at Seton Hill (or elsewhere) as a postbaccalaureate student.
- You can prepare for earning teaching certification while you earn a Master of Arts in Secondary Education.
Seton Hill is approved by the Pa. Dept. of Education to provide education certification preparation. If you plan to teach in another state, you can do that, too; Pennsylvania has signed an Interstate Certification Agreement. The Biology-Education Program at Seton Hill will prepare you to obtain certification in grades 7 - 12.
