If you choose the animation concentration for your B.F.A. in Graphic and Interactive Design, you’ll learn how to create inventive, informative and attractive animations using a variety of techniques. Using industry-standard and cutting-edge software and hardware, you will build a solid foundation for the creation of your own animation style through hands-on learning. You’ll learn about storyboarding, character design and development, 2D and 3D animation, post-production editing, and much more.
When you choose the photography concentration for your BFA, you go deeper into photography by learning the theoretical and practical skills and techniques professional photographers use to shoot the world around them.
In beginning and advanced photography courses, you will explore image-making with digital still photography, video, and black-and-white film-based photography. Work with professional photographers to use digital DSLRs, 35mm film cameras, lighting equipment, and professional strobes. Work in a dedicated space for film processing as well as a large black-and-white darkroom for film printing.
