Karen Harouse-Bell Receives Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award
Karen Harouse-Bell, MS, RDN, LDN, CDCES, the Director of the Integrated Master's in Nutrition and Dietetics at Seton Hill University, has received the 2022 Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The Outstanding Dietetics Educator Award recognizes teaching, mentoring, and leadership activities of faculty in dietetics education programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Awardees are nominated by their students and peers.
Karen Harouse-Bell is a Seton Hill alumna who has practiced in many areas of health care, including in-patient care, out-patient care, home health, community, private consulting, and diabetes education and management. She is impassioned about nutrition, health, diabetes care and prevention. A professor in the School of Natural and Health Sciences at Seton Hill, she directs, teaches, and advises students in both the Nutrition and Dietetics B.S./M.S. and Advanced Nutrition Practice (M.S.) programs.
