Tasha Brownfield  has been accepted into Yale University’s Master of Divinity program for the Fall 2020 school year. 

Tasha, who will be graduating from Seton Hill this May, is a psychology and religious studies major and philosophy minor, who chose her areas of study based on a passion for  what she describes as “the largest existential questions of human existence.” 

Tasha chose to attend Seton Hill because it felt like home: “From the second I stepped foot on campus, every single student, faculty member, and employee I came across welcomed me with open arms.” 

“Seton Hill has been a home for me, and a safe haven for me to grow into someone childhood Tasha would be proud of.” 

Being able to travel abroad through Semester at Sea and Seton Hill’s Study Abroad Program allowed Tasha to live “lifetimes worth of experiences.” Through these programs, Tasha has had the opportunity to complete fieldwork in Argentina, Uruguay, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Japan, South Africa and India, which enabled her to completely step out of her own comfort zone. She also expresses how the faculty at Seton Hill were instrumental in her growth by encouraging her to ask more questions, both about herself and about the universe. 

The Yale Divinity School, Tasha says, was the only graduate program that made her feel the same love she felt for Seton Hill back in 2016. 

The future is still uncertain for Tasha after she completes her degree in 2023, but she says she is open to going wherever humanity needs her to serve. Tasha says it is going to be difficult to close the Seton Hill chapter of her life, but she is beyond thrilled--and ready--to start a new chapter of her story as a Master of Divinity Student at Yale University next fall: “Seton Hill has been a home for me, and a safe haven for me to grow into someone childhood Tasha would be proud of.”
