Physician Assistant Program Marks More Than 25 Years of Continued Accreditation

The Seton Hill University Physician Assistant Program was recently granted Accreditation-Continued status by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.(ARC-PA). Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.

This marks more than 25 years of continued accreditation of Seton Hill's PA program and a longstanding commitment to excellence in PA education.

In fact, 97 percent of Seton Hill's Physician Assistant Program graduates who have taken the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) in the past five years have passed it on their first attempt with a 100 percent PANCE pass rate for the Class of 2024.

Students can enter the program in one of two ways. The B.S/M.S. program allows incoming freshmen to earn both their bachelor's and master's degrees in only five years. For those who already have a bachelor's degree, the graduate program in Physician Assistant is a 27-month program that begins each January.

Seton Hill's ARC-PA accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be April 2034. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy. The program’s accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website.
