Seton Hill Music Performance Major Finds Success as Hip-Hop Artist
Music performance major Lyn Starr has been studying music since childhood. He started studying jazz at age 10 and classical musical at age 13. But these days, he’s more into hip-hop.
To date, he’s released three albums, and he performs regularly at venues around Pittsburgh. In many of his works, Lyn collaborates with Seton Hill students and alumni. The video for his song “Passion” features Seton Hill dance – choreography and communication – advocacy media double major Zuri Hodge.
Seton Hill has helped me develop high level music skills that I am able to constantly use when I perform. Seton Hill has also helped me deepen my understanding of western music, allowing my love for music to expand.
Lyn will graduate from Seton Hill in 2018.
