Footloose the Musical a Big Success for Seton Hill Theatre and Dance

Seton Hill University’s Theatre and Dance Program recently brought “Footloose the Musical” to life at the Performing Arts Center in Downtown Greensburg. Based on the beloved 1984 film, the production featured a talented student cast who filled the stage with lively choreography and powerful vocals. Their four-show run was nearly sold out for every performance. Audiences were captivated by the vibrant energy, heartfelt storytelling, and the spirit of community that defines Seton Hill’s performing arts program.

“Footloose the Musical” was directed and choreographed by Pittsburgh native Jake Emmerling. Emmerling is well known for his 6-year-long run as a cast member in “The Book of Mormon.” His many years of experience in performing and coaching gave students invaluable knowledge.

The Seton Hill Theatre and Dance Program’s rendition of “Footloose the Musical” featured Colby Miller as Ren McCormack, Olivia Wilcox as Ariel Moore, and Leon Obura as Reverend Shaw Moore.
