Seton Hill sacred music graduate Luke Mayernik ‘06 has had consistent success in his chosen field. Recently, he orchestrated a new arrangement of the traditional hymn "Pescador de Hombres" for the papal Mass at Madison Square Garden during Pope Francis' visit to the United States. Some of his other awards and accomplishments include:

• Semifinalist in the 2014 International Organ Festival in Haarlem the Netherlands.
• Bronze and Gold Medals in Musical Composition at the Sacred Music Festival in Croatia in 2011 and 2012.
• First Place Winner in the 2008  International Organ Improvisation Competition sponsored by the Royal Canadian College of Organists.
• First Place Winner in the 2004 American Guild of Organist’s National Competition in Organ Improvisation.
• Choral Works Published by GIA Publications, Oregon Catholic Press, and Santa Barbara Music Publishers.
