Seton Hill Receives It's on Us PA Grant for Fifth Time
Seton Hill University has once again been awarded a It’s On Us PA Grant for its Setonians Say No More! campaign to support the university's efforts in combatting sexual harassment and assault through educating students.
The $29,400 grant received for 2023-24 will help Seton Hill improve institutional awareness, response, and training for sexual violence prevention. The overall goal of this project is to build on the excellent programs and work Seton Hill has already developed with four previous It’s On Us PA grants by further improving reporting systems and strengthening awareness and training.
Major focus will be on the adoption of new online modules for reporting along with gatherings, speaker events, and other activities geared toward keeping students thinking and talking about topics related to these issues. In addition, Seton Hill faculty and staff will engage in continuing education, and Seton Hill will expand its collaboration with area high schools on the production and presentation of the play, Jane Doe, by Eleanor Bishop, a participatory theatre show.
It's On Us PA is a statewide campaign that invites everyone to play a role in ending sexual assault. Building off the momentum of the national It's On Us movement, It's On Us PA brings together college and university presidents, superintendents, administrators, teachers, students, families, and community members to reframe the conversation around sexual violence and pledge to be part of the solution.
