Doctor of Physical Therapy Student Chose Seton Hill for Small Classes, International Service Opportunities
Nathanael Bungard is one of the first students to enroll in Seton Hill’s new Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Here, he shares why he picked Seton Hill, and how it’s going so far.
What made you decide to come to Seton Hill for your DPT?
I decided to come to Seton Hill for my DPT, because of all the opportunities that have been presented to me through the program. The biggest: being able to go on an international trip to either Jamaica, Peru, or Mexico and help underprivileged clinics with ways to better treat their patients. Another reason I decided to come to Seton Hill was because of the smaller cohort and being able to get more time and help from professors.
What’s the experience been like so far?
My experience so far has been excellent. We have already started with part-time clinicals, and I am learning a ton in classes. I think the best part of the program is how close I have grown with my cohort over the past six months.

What are your career plans?
After graduation, I plan on taking over my grandfather’s practice and practicing ergonomics. I also have a newfound interest in sports physical therapy and athletics, so this could also be another potential route for my career path.
What would you like to share about the Seton Hill DPT Program with other people who may be considering applying?
I think while applying to PT school, you should visit each school in which you apply and talk to some people already in the program. I think coming to Seton Hill was a great decision personally, and I have already grown both personally and professionally.
