Entrepreneur and Businessman Michael H. Murray Offers Business Lecture at Seton Hill on April 12

Seton Hill University’s Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities will present a free public lecture by entrepreneur and businessman Michael H. Murray on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 6 p.m. The event will be held in Cecilian Hall on the Second Floor of Seton Hill’s Administration Building. Please register by emailing dmason@setonhill.edu. The event is part of the Farrell Lecture Series at Seton Hill.

Michael H. Murray is currently the CEO and Founder of Hathaway Murray Consulting in Southlake, Texas, which he created in 2015. He previously served as President and CEO of the American Credit Card Processing Corporation, which had annual revenues of $20 million before its acquisition by Priority Payment Systems in 2015.

His lecture will offer insights into running a $20 million business, his exit strategy and his innovative plan for a new business.

Murray, a western Pennsylvania native and a 1984 graduate of Saint Vincent College, and his wife Miriam Arroyo Murray, a Seton Hill Trustee and alumna, support Seton Hill students through the Miriam Arroyo Murray ’84 and Michael H. Murray Internship, Research and Study Abroad Endowed Scholarship. The fund allows Seton Hill students to take part in experiential learning opportunities regardless of financial constraints.

"We are delighted that Michael Murray has graciously agreed to impart the lessons he has learned in business and as an entrepreneur to both Seton Hill students and members of the community," said Mary C. Finger, Seton Hill University President. "His visit to campus represents the continuing commitment of both Michael and his wife, Miriam Arroyo Murray, to Seton Hill and its students. I am also grateful for the opportunity to acknowledge the Murrays in a public setting for their financial support. Their gift helps Seton Hill students take on unpaid internships, research opportunities away from home, or study abroad trips without worrying about finances.  Their commitment truly makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of Seton Hill students and paves the way for our students to have greater opportunities once they graduate."

The Farrell Lecture Series is sponsored by the Seton Hill University Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities. The Wukich Center equips students with the entrepreneurial skills needed to address the challenges of an evolving global market – whether a student’s career path includes running his or her own business or serving as a leader within an existing one. The Wukich Center supports entrepreneurship through the creation of the Wukich Scholars and Wukich Interns Programs; through the initiation of The Wukich Venture Fund; and through collaborative efforts with community organizations. The Wukich Center also offers programs for the community, including business counseling, business plan creation and business education workshops.
