Shakespeare’s classic romantic comedy features love gone awry with lovers, Lysander, Hermia, Demetrius and Helena, chasing desired partners through the woods. Peter Quince, Nick Bottom and their fellow actors rehearse their “lamentable comedy” to perform before Theseus, Duke of Athens, and his new bride, Hippolyta, but mayhem ensues when Oberon, the King of the Fairies and his companion, Puck, complicate human and fairy affairs. Shakespeare’s delightful love story sets the world right after some serious fun.

The Seton Hill Theatre and Dance production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is directed by Kellee Van Aken, assistant professor of theatre and director of the theatre program.
