Griffins Sixth at Clarion Fall Invitational
The golf team competed in the Clarion University Fall Classic at the Clarion Oaks Golf Club on Sunday and Monday. SHU finished the two day event in sixth place with a team score of 687. Youngstown State won the event with a score of 628. Courtney Newport was the top Griffin with an eighth place finish. She finished the two day event with a score of 164 (82-82). Emily Hassey was tied for 17th. After shooting a first day round of 82, she finished with a score of 170. Ashley Ward was tied for 26th place with a score of 176 (86-90). Morgan Miller was 33rd overall, shooting a score of 177 (86-91).
