Griffins, Georgian Court Tie 1-1 at Shippensburg Tournament
The men's soccer team kicked off its 2014 season at the Shippensburg Tournament with an opening round matchup with Georgian Court on Friday afternoon. Georgian Court scored in the first half and the Griffins responded with a second half goal but neither team could break the tie and the game ended with a 1-1 deadlock after 110 minutes of action. The Griffins dominated the stats page, outshooting Georgian Court by an 18-6 margin. SHU also held a 17-3 advantage in corner kicks.
