After coming up just one game short of the trip to Cary, NC and the Division II World Series, the Griffin baseball team has high expectations for the 2014 season and have earned many preseason awards and rankings.  Junior third baseman Nick Sell was named a first team All American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).  Sell was also named a first team All Atlantic Region selection by the NCBWA.  Joining Sell on the all region first team was senior left hander Alex Haines.  Junior right hander Brett Sullivan, senior shortstop Brendan Costantino and senior second baseman Pat McCarthy were all named to the all region second team.  Junior outfielder Cody Herald was named an honorable mention on the NCBWA All Region Team.
