This season the men's basketball team is looking make a good first impression and make a run at the PSAC Championship in their first season in the league.  The Griffins return six players from last season who started at least 13 games and are looking to use the experience of the team as a factor this season.  Last season the Griffins finished the season with a 16-12 overall mark and a 12-10 record in WVIAC play.  SHU earned the 7h seed in the WVIAC tournament and defeated WV Wesleyan in the first round of the tournament before being eliminated by Fairmont State in the quarterfinals.
