The Griffin field hockey team made the long trip to Kutztown to battle the Golden Bears in a PSAC contest on a chilly night.  Kutztown scored once in each half for a 2-0 victory.  SHU falls to 4-11 overall and 1-7 in PSAC play.  Kutztown took a 1-0 lead with less than three minutes to play in the first half.  KU made it 2-0 with a goal at the 55:47 mark of the contest.  Just two minutes before the Kutztown goal, Nicole DeLuca hit the crossbar on a shot that would have tied the contest.  Autumn Reid made 3 saves in net.  The Griffins will host Mansfield on Tuesday afternoon.
