Carbaugh Named Futures League Pitcher of the Year
Seton Hill senior right hander Bob Carbaugh had a spectacular summer playing for the Martha's Vineyard Sharks in the Futures League. For his efforts, he was recently named the 2013 Futures Collegiate Baseball League Pitcher of the Year. Carbaugh broke the season record for wins in an FCBL season this year with 8, finishing a perfect 8-0 over his ten starts. His 1.85 ERA was fourth among ERA qualifiers and he had 50 strikeouts in 63.1 innings. Carbaugh had a 2.94 K/BB ratio, and threw a first-pitch strike to 66% of batters faced. Bob had a 0.93 WHIP, and was the clear ace on the Sharks, as they maintained their status as the top team in the FCBL throughout the season. The Sharks won the league's regular season and playoff championship as well.
