The Griffins women's golf team sits in second place after day one of the WVIAC Women's Golf Championships being held at Canaan Valley Resort.  Seton Hill is only 8 shots behind the leader Wheeling Jesuit.  The Griffins posted a first day total of 326.  Morgan Miller leads the squad with a first round score of 79, good for a tie for fifth place.  Ashley Ward is tied for 11th place with an 81.  Brianna Bush is one shot back with a round of 82.  Chelsea Sipes shot 84 and Nina Gonzalez rounded out the top five with an 83.  Round two of the tournament will be tomorrow.
