Seton Hill University’s Theatre and Dance Program will present “Moving Pictures,” an original student dance theatre creation from December 4 and 5. The students performing in the concert shaped the direction of the event, choosing the music and taking an active role in the creative vision. The 2010 fall dance concert is composed of selections which were inspired by popular movies. Concert pieces incorporate different styles of dance, including hip-hop, lyrical and musical theatre. Students with varying levels of dance experience, from beginner to advanced, will participate in the concert.

“Moving Pictures” is choreographed by TaMara Swank, assistant professor of theatre.

Seton Hill University technical staff for the production include Ken Clothier, assistant professor, theatre, technical director, sound designer, and lighting designer, Karen Glass, assistant professor, theatre, scenic designer, and Susan O’Neil, instructor, theatre, costume director.

Seton Hill University’s Performing Arts Center is 73,000 square feet of everything a performing arts major needs to move from student to professional.
