Theatre Students Present Works by Augusto Boal

As part of the "Practicing Peace in Times of War" retreat facilitated by guest speaker, Nobel Peace Prize nominee Kathy Kelly, theatre students presented image theatre pieces inspired by study in the work of Augusto Boal and his Theatre of the Oppressed. "Mock Execution" was written and staged by Natalie Moretti; "Weight of Imprisonment" was written and staged by Jeanette Lundell; and "Warnings Lost" was written and staged by Nate Errett. Cast members included Melissa Lingsch, Matt Leslie, Chelsea Bloam, Matthew Mlynarski, Christine Rauch, and Matt Corridoni.

Augusto Boal's work is used throughout the world for social activism and reform.
