GREENSBURG, PA- John Fogle, Athletic Director at Seton Hill College, announced that Sarah and Amy Slade, the twin daughters of James and Rebecca Slade of Indiana, PA, have accepted cross country scholarships. They have already begun attending classes in Fall 2001.
“Both young women will be valuable assets to the team,” Fogle said. “We are looking for them to make an immediate impact.”
Resent graduates from Penns Manor Area High School both were members of the cross country and track teams. Amy varsity lettered in cross country while Sarah served as the captain of both the cross country and track teams her senior year. In addition, Sarah received Heritage Conference All-Conference Recognition for cross country during her senior year.
As students, Amy and Sarah were members of the National Honors Society, the distinguished Honor Roll and St. Stevens Guild of Acolytes. They also received Perfect Attendance and were Morning Announcement Readers. In addition, Amy was a member of the drama club and Schools for Scribes and Sarah was a member of SADD and the Art club.
“Among other things, I heard this was an excellent school to attend,” Amy Slade said, who is planning on majoring in English at Seton Hill.
Sarah, who is planning on majoring in graphic design added, “I’m excited for the opportunity to attend Seton Hill and run for the cross country team.
