GREENSBURG, PA- Mary Ross Cox of Greensburg, PA, accepted a new position at Seton Hill College as the director of events and external relations. By September 1st, she will function in this new capacity full-time. The position combines the educational events coordinator of the National Education Center for Women in Business (NECWB) and that of institutional events coordinator.
In her new role, Cox will coordinate several major events for the College including the Lynch Lecture- which has brought speakers such as Lech Walesa, Mitch Albom and Frank McCourt to campus- and the OSCAR awards and also assist the NECWB with its annual conference, the ATHENA Winner’s Circle luncheon and other educational events.
In addition, Cox will establish a procedure for on and off-campus constituents to schedule rooms on campus for events and serve as an advisor to anyone planning an event on campus.
"I'm excited for the opportunities this new position affords me," Cox said, noting that she will be able to fully utilize the BA in communications she earned from Seton Hill two years ago. "My goal is to create a good communication system for presenting events."
