GREENSBURG, PA- Marilyn Fox, Seton Hill College graduate and resident of Greensburg, has accepted the position of development associate with the College to implement new alumnae programs. The position is funded by a recent grant to Seton Hill from the Teagle Foundation, Inc. of New York City.
As the development associate, Fox will assist the College in volunteer identification and fund raising initiatives; coordinate alumni volunteer recruitment to implement programs such as the Seton Hill Alumnae Recruitment Effort (SHARE) that will mobilize alumnae to increase Seton Hill’s visibility and recruitment efforts; assist in the set-up of regional alumni chapters; assist with the management of the Student Alumnae Ambassador Program.
"I’m excited for the opportunity to work for my alma mater," Fox said, noting she felt like she was coming home. "I love this campus and everyone here. I look forward to working together with the people on campus and absorbing all the information I can to start my new position." Fox mentioned that she believes the most important aspect of her position will be the interaction with on- and off-campus constituents.
"We are excited to have Marilyn join the Institutional Advancement team," said Chris Mueseler, vice president for institutional advancement. "Her vivacious personality and tenacity in the development field made her a top candidate from the start. I know she will do great things here at the College."
Fox graduated from Seton Hill in 1998 with a BA in human resource management. As the former owner/ manager of Talibah’s, a collectible store in downtown Greensburg, she was responsible for purchasing, sales, accounting, advertising/ promotion and customer relations. Fox also worked with the YWCA of Westmoreland County since 1997, serving as the Mothers’ Center Coordinator. In this capacity, she facilitated group meetings, provided a calendar of events and organized field trips. Fox also provided office support, promoting the YWCA programs, processing accounts receivable and organizing attendance for the children’s summer program.
