GREENSBURG, PA- John Fogle, Athletic Director at Seton Hill College announced that Lauren Harrison, daughter of Steve and Donna Harrison of Cranberry Township, PA, has accepted a softball scholarship. Harrison will begin classes in the Fall of 2001 as a member of the class of 2005. “She is an outstanding defensive player,” said Fogle. “She has speed, power and is an intelligent base-runner.” Currently a senior at Seneca Valley High School, Harrison has played for the girl’s softball team all four years of attendance. As a member she helped the team to win the WPIAL Championship in 1999. She was also a member of the Pittsburgh Pride Tournament Team in 1998, and the Pittsburgh Power Tournament Team from 1999 to 2000. “The admissions staff was very helpful in my selection process and during my visit,” Harrison said. “I also enjoyed the opportunity to meet my future teammates on the softball team. They were very friendly and encouraging.” Harrison intends to major in management at Seton Hill and would like to earn her teacher certification.
