GREENSBURG, PA- John Fogle, Athletic Director of Seton Hill College, announced that Elizabeth Ann Zgorecki, daughter of Edward and Linda Zgorecki of Scottdale, PA, has accepted a volleyball scholarship. She will be attending Seton Hill College in the Fall of 2001.
“Elizabeth is a well-rounded player from a fine high school program,” said Rick Hall who coaches volleyball at Seton Hill. “She will be a valuable addition to the S.H.C. program.”
A senior at Southmoreland High School, Zgorecki was named “Most Valuable Player,” at the 1999 Keystone Volleyball Conference, and participated in the 2000 WPIAL All-Section Team. She is also a member of the U.S. Scholastic All-American Girls Volleyball Team.
Zgorecki has played not only volleyball, but also fast pitch softball, basketball, and run cross-country during her high school career. Other honors include being awarded the “Good Citizen Award” by the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Westmoreland County’s “Outstanding Young Woman.”
After visiting the Seton Hill Campus, Zgorecki commented that she appreciated the small campus atmosphere and looks forward to playing volleyball for the college.
Zgorecki plans to major in Art Education at Seton Hill.
