GREENSBURG, PA- John Fogle, Athletic Director at Seton Hill College, announced that Dawn Spence, the daughter of Darlene Spence of Leckrone, PA, has accepted a basketball scholarship. She will begin attending classes in the Fall 2001. “Dawn is a very hard worker and will contribute to the team immediately,” Fogle said. “She has been in a program that is consistently in playoff competition. She thrives on high-level competition. A senior at Albert Gallatin High School, Spence won the WNBA Sportsmanship Award as a forward on the girls’ basketball team. A member of the Art Club and National Honor Society, Spence was also selected as Student of the Month for December 2000 by the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. “I enjoyed Seton Hill’s team spirit. They seem like a great group who work well together,” Spence said. “ I also liked the small college atmosphere.” Spence has not decided what she will major in at Seton Hill.
