I am a passionate individual who has been working as a helping professional for the last 30 years. Seven years ago, I was introduced to Art Therapy, and I immediately knew that this was where I belong. Art was the missing piece to my existence, professionally and personally. I have found Art Therapy to be an excellent means of enhancing self-expression, transposing coping skills, and understanding stress management techniques by adapting alternative choices. My recent work has afforded me the opportunity to routinely work with individuals and families to resolve trauma, grief, and loss, establish appropriate decision-making skills, and address depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I have recently transitioned to official role of educator. I say official because I have been teaching my entire life. I am fervent about helping individuals foster self-awareness and gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Art Therapy has presented me with a alternative lens, where I may now see the world from a completely perspective.
