A native of Brazil, Anderson Lacerda is a performer and Suzuki certified teacher of the violin. In addition to his performances as a concertmaster of the Duquesne Chamber Orchestra he was also concertmaster of the Duquesne Symphony Orchestra. In the US he has also played with Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestra, Sunflowermusic Festival, Erie Philharmonic, Youngstown Symphony, Wheeling Symphony, Westmoreland Symphony, and others. His career also includes numerous orchestras around Brazil, such a Bachiana Philharmonic, Ribeirao Preto Symphony, Broadway T4F Orchestra, and many others. He started his bachelor’s degree of Music Performance at the University of Sao Paulo in 2005.
He is earning an Artist Diploma at Duquesne University, under Charles Stegeman and Rachel Stegeman’s direction. Anderson has been teaching violin students since 2007, as a coordinator of a kids' project for families in need called “A musica venceu”, and as a private teacher in music schools around Sao Paulo city. He joined the” Suzuki Teachers Program” and got his Certificate in 2018. Many of his students in Brazil have won spots in important music school institutions, majors in music and they also have teaching and playing careers.
