Jamie Chichy
Dr. Jamie Chichy is an assistant professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Dr. Chichy graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Science/Biology, from Slippery Rock University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Certificate Master of Business Administration, and from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Doctorate in Education in Administration and Leadership. Prior to joining Seton Hill University, Dr. Chichy spent over twenty-two years in out-patient orthopeadics, skilled nursing, and adult and pediatric home health, including early intervention. Dr. Chichy has spent over nine years in supervisory and Facility Director positions. Dr. Chichy is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor as well as certified in LSVT Big, a targeted exercise program in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. Dr. Chichy is also a Certified Fall Prevention Specialist. Dr. Chichy attends continuing education as well as conferences regularly and uses her continued experiences to build and expand upon the coursework she teaches. Dr. Chichy teaches parts of the neurology curriculum as well as the professional responsibilities courses which include the research curriculum. Dr. Chichy is committed to life-long learning as well as facilitating the development and mentoring of the next generation of physical therapists. Dr. Chichy’s research interests include concussion management, oculomotor dysfunctions, and advancing treatment opportunities in the neurologic patient population. Prior to joining the Seton Hill family, Dr. Chichy was an adjunct professor at Saint Francis University.
