I am an experienced career development professional with a successful history of creating innovative career-related initiatives and forging successful partnerships.
Under my leadership, the Seton Hill Career and Professional Development Center won a Model of Excellence award from University Business magazine for our "Fit for the World" program. I have delivered hundreds of presentations on career development topics including presentations at the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) annual conference on the topic of Bridging the Gap Between Student Affairs and Faculty: A Collaborative Approach to Advising. The unique partnership program with UPS, "Brown has Delivered for Seton Hill University" was a NACE Career Service Excellence Award winner. I was selected to participate in the competitive NACE Leadership Advancement Program and I served on the First Destinations Survey Task Force and Conference Planning Committee for NACE.
My article, "Employing the Liberal Arts: An Academically Integrated Plan for Career Success" was published in the September 2015 NACE Journal. In May of 2013, my article "Bridge the Gap Between Student Affairs and Academic Affairs: The A-Z of Partnering with Faculty" was published in the NACE Journal. I was featured in the NACE Spotlight for accomplishments in implementing the First Destination Survey.
I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling - Student Personnel from Edinboro University. I attended Gannon University and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. I earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification as well as the Professional Resume Writer Certification.
